Grant Park Atlanta T-shirt (that oak tree has a nose)

August 30, 2019

I was asked to create art for the Grant Park Conservancy in Atlanta. I grew up going to Grant Park and the Zoo my whole life. It always has felt like an old place — old spirits flowing through the old oak trees. Zoo Atlanta and The Cyclorama always evoke childhood memories for me — Fort Walker and its history on the southeast corner of the park. Going to see Marion and Dee Witt Dye on Delmar in their fancy old house — big as an old gray elephant. There are many memories for myself and I thought it would be good for me to put those into an image to help benefit the park.

Thanks to Ed at Danger Press for printing this shirt.

The happy red dog with the floppy pink tongue makes me smile.

see you soon,
Kyle BlackCatTips Brooks
