The BeltLine Bears: Day 15

August 10, 2011

Some words sound better when used with others. Colors can be similar. Black and white are made for each other. Opposites and yet fraternal twins. You can’t have the boldness of one without the other. It is magic.

I needed a few signs to help folks be aware of bears in the area. I submitted a proposal and had it approved. I cut them out yesterday and began painting the boards today. I think they really look great. I used one to create a BeltLine Bears official logo!

When I rolled up today I noticed someone had dumped a large truck-bed full of wood chips in front of the wall. I am not sure if they belong there or not. It seems like a tree service just dumped there waste products in front of my mural. Wood chips smell nice… so I have that going for me.

I had a car load of visitors today. I like visitors. Sometimes I wonder what they are thinking as they stare. If you want to see my BeltLine Bears please stop by.

I painted a lot of small bears today and laid the groundwork for the last round of bears. I hope to paint them tomorrow. I will do some more writing and then title and sign the wall. Then I will install signage and I just might be done!

I have put a lot of sweat and work into the painting but no blood. Today I cut my finger and got the blood part out of the way. Now I feel legit.
