Bear Heads And The Children

My mom is going out of town. Actually she is going out of the country for a week. Haiti is her destination. Before she left I wanted to go see her. I found her at my sister’s house and all the children were there too. Sammy the cat was also present and had a stunt show Soft-Paw Sammy fell off the ledge by the stairs and crashed onto a pile of toys.

I took some projects in my truck. It seems like I always have a project or two in the back of the truck. I showed them my new Bear T-shirts. My mom is going to wear one to Haiti. I asked my sister if she wanted me to give her the wooden bear cut-out I had with me. She had told me before that she would like one. She readily agreed and we picked out a nice old oak in the back corner of her yard on which to hang it.

I told the children to help me so like the Pied-Piper of Yore they followed me into the woods. If I only had a flute and some knickers. Jenna handed me the screws and Jackson held the ladder. I jabbed my thumb with the drill but I have a spare thumb on my other hand so it is okay. We hung the bear head up and it looked real nice. It makes me glad to see my nephew and nieces helping me and smiling. The little one doesn’t like me yet but we have time to work on her.
