Such A Busy Man

September 28, 2011

I have been busy. My brain in spinnin’. I have been cutting and sawing and sanding and painting. All of the above and some more too. I have sold some t-shirts and made several new paintings. Over and over and again. I helped Atlanta band Noel Stephen and the Darlings with their new concert poster. I even sang some songs the other night.

I applied to be an art vendor at the National BBQ Cup in November. Maybe I can sell some wooden pigs or chickens. Take my artwork to a new locale. Begin to expand. Widen my horizons. I made some crosses to go along GA 400. Get folks used to bears and crosses.

Yesterday I was delivering a t-shirt to a happy customer and I passed someone’s old bunk bed frame on the sidewalk. I took the slats and made 2 crosses. I painted them with found or “oops” paint from Lowe’s. Very little money in the art but it looks just as good as if I bought official supplies.

I spoke to Al who is part owner at Joe’s Coffee Shop in East Atlanta. I love good coffee. I am making a bear for them to hang up. I also spoke with the new burrito joint named Tomatillo’s. Their food is good and I am making them a large wooden eagle to hang on their newly painted walls. I hope they stay around for a long time.

I made a couple other large wooden bears for people in Atlanta. It is good to meet new people and make art for them. I sold most of my shirts I ordered so today I put in an order for more. I should have plenty to sell for the Candler Park Fall Festival in a couple weeks.

Fall is now upon us and I am hoping for good things. Speaking of fall, I am designing a invitation card for some neighbor’s big Thanksgiving party. I was honored they asked me.

Dear Lord please help me to stay sane and be thankful.
