It is a new year. Heck. What are we going to do now? Oh yeah, keep going forward.
With that in mind I am trying to do a lot of painting. I took a little down time in December to agonize over gifts to buy and Christmas cheer. Now I am trying to paint everyday and also get a lot of work out on the streets. I am putting things on old signs and street poles and abandoned buildings. I figure if the windows are boarded up the boards should at least be decorated. Ain’t nothing wrong with pretty!
Yesterday I was on a ladder hanging a folk art cross on a tree. A long white bearded homeless man was watching me. I imagined him walking up and saying, ” Son, that was me thirty years ago.” He didn’t really speak to me. I hung the art on the tree and went back to my truck.
Here are some photos of a few of the paintings I have put out in the last week.
2 things to note.
