A black 4×4 post near my house has been unadorned for years now. Just a plain black post with no sign to keep it happy. There used to be a hornet’s nest above it but now even the hornets are gone. I kept looking at it.
A couple days ago on my jog I thought it needed a sign; a red stop pots sign.
Today I went and attached the sign I made to the old post. It was covered in vines. I pushed them down and hung the art.
Many people pass by this location everyday. I am not sure the “regulars” will notice but that is fine with me. I was told by a local lady that they were called “meat-heads.” They like to walk by on their way to Texaco or the Rib Shack.
The sign might be overtaken by Wisteria vine soon but when the leaves and tendrils overtake it I shall stop and yell, “POTS!”
