Sharpie Slam Atlanta 2012

Last night was Sharpie Slam 2012. The event was held at The Loft at Center Stage in Atlanta. It was an event held in conjunction with Digital Atlanta Conference  I was teamed up with Jai. There were 4 teams total. We were given around an hour to draw on the theme of “Atlanta starts with Sharpie.” Go!

There were two judges and the rest of the votes were texted in from the crowd. It was a good turn out and there were some really good sketches from the other teams. The music was loud and it was a fun event. I am glad I was asked to participate this year.

I drew some dogs and animals and a big Sharpie marker. I do not know why I drew some of these things. I had flashbacks of drawing for kids on the school bus on the way home in 11th grade.

When it was over and the votes tallied somehow Jai and I won! Thanks to Sharpie and Digital Atlanta for hosting this event. Thanks to Hats off to the other teams and their great artwork interpretations of the surprise theme.
