A Resting Place – Atlanta BeltLine 2013

August 27, 2013

This week I finished painting my new art installation for Art on the BeltLine 2013. This year I painted with artist Molly Rose Freeman. Together we painted a structure we titled – A Resting Place.

Thanks to Jay Wilson who built the structure for us. Thanks to the hummingbirds and hawks and herons that flew by. Thanks to the guy that walked by and told me “it would get cold soon.” Thanks to the giant grasshoppers that inspired me. Thanks to the blistering sun. Thanks to Pup for watching my back while I painted. Thanks to Maria for packing my “snack packs” and pushing me to do something different. Thanks to Molly for painting with me, helping me pick out colors and playing me music. Thanks to Elan and my other BeltLine friends for giving me another chance to express myself through painting.

Art on the BeltLine 2013 officially begins September 7th and continues into November. Learn more here.
