Be Happy In Your Heart

December 12, 2013

A neighbor of mine rides the bus. While downtown on business he spotted desk drawers beside the road. He got them and brought them to me, leaving them outside my door for me to paint. I painted an eyeball in each one. Thanks to the neighbor.

I had an idea to put the eyes on a wall or sign and then paint a mouth. A friend told me I should paint an empty sign he passes on the way to work. I knew that would be a good spot.

Today I went and painted the eyes, a mouth and some words. The phrase, “Be Happy In Your Heart” came to me. It made me pleased to see it finished.  Sometimes all we can do is be thankful and be happy in our hearts. I will give it my best try. You try too.
