I painted another mural for Forward Warrior. There was an empty wall and the boss man asked me if I wanted to— so I said I would. There was a mural being painted as a collaboration between four guys based on Maurice Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are book. I painted my section to blend in with theirs. I took my insipration from the giant parakeet bird monster in the book. I drew it and the undrew it and came up with what you see here. It was fun to paint a big old non-scary monster man. He is clean and bright and was fun to paint.
Thanks to Greg Mike, Big Teef, Corey Davis and Catlanta for letting me tag along and paint an addition to their project. And thanks to Peter Ferrari for asking me to be involved with Forward Warrior 2015.
You meet so many folks when you paint on the street in the sunlight. People help you out and bring you things and tell you great stories. It makes you feel glad inside.
