Crosses And Vegetables

Saturday I found a desk that was being thrown away. It was broken down into pieces and the boards were stacked on the sidewalk. I stopped and put it all in my truck. It had been a nice wood desk from IKEA.

I sawed it up today into many things. Out of the desk I made:  a yellow squash, an onion, an eggplant, a carrot, 4 small bear heads and 3 large bear heads. Soon I will paint them all and put them around town. I think these wooden vegetables will fill up the empty spaces on East Atlanta Village farmer’s market sign.

I put a new cross on a tree today. I had to climb in some kudzu to get up the tree but it was worth it. I needed to remind me neighbors to “love each other.”
