The BeltLine Bears: Day 8

July 30, 2011

I arrived at the wall today about noon. It was very hot. I think this has been the hottest time of the year. I added a few layers of color today; red, blue and green. I drank a lot of water. My dad and my nephew visited. It was nice to have some company and show off my work. They brought me a sandwich. My nephew is seven years old. He is  an artist as well. He wanted to paint so I let him. I told him I would pay him five dollars for his efforts. He painted a bear. Then he painted another and gave it tall ear-like protrusions. I told him to slow down. He said it was a Bob Cat. Ok then….

Walkin’ John passed by today and spoke to me as I was on my ladder. I have seen him a few times in the last week. We talked about the Lord and how He is good to us. We spoke of good folks and ones that are “up to no good.” I think John is a nice person. I hope he will return. I asked him if I could take his photo. He said yes. You can see the picture below. I also asked him where he was going. He didn’t say. I like his hat.

It threatened to rain and I ran out of steam. I will give it another go tomorrow.
