Growing Taro Root

I bought some taro root at the Dekalb Farmers Market. I was going to eat it but now I think I will plant it on my porch instead. I hope it grows.

Here are the directions I found to grow taro:

Plant in pots, keep above 60F inside. Soil should be only slightly moist. Plant outside in part sun when min temps at night are above 45F. They want plenty of water and fertilizer while in growth. Lift when foliage wilts in fall and keep in a cool room above freezing in dry medium until ready to repeat the cycle.

Peachtree Road Race 2010

I came up with a design for the 2010 version of the
AJC Peachtree Road Race T-Shirt. They will pick the 5
finalist and announce them for voting on March 21st.
I like my idea. You can't go wrong with Peach Friends.

Envelope In the Air

I had a stack of things on my desk. One was an envelope
covered with drawings I had doodled while flying on a
plane last week. 37,000 feet at 550 mph over Virginia and
New Jersey will do strange things to one's mind. A dog
in a suitcase. A Velociraptor in the cargo hold. A pot of
flowers. All normal things for 5 miles high.
