BlackCatTips Speaks at Finsterfest 2023

What an honor it was to speak at Finsterfest 2023. It wa held at Paradise Gardens in Summerville, Georgia which was the home of Howard Finster. It is still such an important place in the world of Folk Art. I am very glad I was asked to speak at this year’s festival. I hope a little bit of the magic rubbed off on my elbow.

Thanks to The Other Howard, Howard Pousner and the Paradise Garden Foundation for the warm invite. I had a wonderful time. It has been a long time since I sold things in an art festival type of place. It was a good day to see lots of folks I know and I got to meet some ones I had been meaning to. It felt pretty good standing up on 2 wooden pallets to give my talk. If I had a fiddle and could clog a bit it would have even been better.

Oh … next time you drive through the town of Summerville, Georgia, stop at Willow Springs park and watch the water rise up out of the inside of the earth. It is more than amazing.
