Get Glad

There was an old sign I found on the ground last winter. I had painted it one frozen night and hung it back on a post. I was not happy with it. Since then I had hung two other paintings over it but they disappeared.

I wanted to paint something better. I  was given some brown paint. I laid in bed and thought about what I could use it for. Then I knew!

The next day I took the old sign down and rode around with it a while in my truck. I did some shopping. Then I took it to my friend Hudson’s yard. I painted it there. He sat and watched. Then he washed some chicken eggs.

I had a small sketch I went by. I didn’t fit all the words in so I just summarized my feelings. I hung it back on the post and hope folks will enjoy it.

I spend too much time being sad. I want to GET GLAD.
