BlackCatTips (and the talking trees)

I recently sat down in front of a green screen in Atlanta and said some lines to a couple guys with a camera in a studio at Adult Swim. Really it wasn’t as much a screen as a painted wall and green cloth. I don’t know how it works but it does. Next thing you know I was inside one of my paintings talking about the wind and the dirt on my dog’s tail.

I was lucky enough to be asked by Adult Swim to be a character actor in their Game Set Machu Picchu April Fool’s Day special. I also painted the backdrop of talking trees which was used in the scene. I painted those at home and then Adult Swim came out to Arabia Mountain and took photos.

It was many months in the making so it is great to see it all as one finished project — makes me smile. Now if I had only brought a few veggie dogs I could be having a campfire cartoon dinner about now. Ahhh heck. Oh well, I will just look at the yellow moon.
