Yesterday at the event for Schlotzsky’s Austin Eatery the folks at 97.1 The River asked me to sing the national anthem while I painted. At the last minute they had a programming change and instead I just answered a few questions about art and painting on fresh baked sourdough bread and what it’s like to be Wonderfully Weird .
It isn’t often you get to paint on bread, much less painting on bread in front of the public. No loafin’ around, this is serious business folks. I used condiments, sauces and my house paint to create some fun and whimsy. I hope folks enjoyed what they saw and tasted. It was definitely a culinary adventure to me.
We had a real good time in Alpharetta and I wanted to thank those who came out to see me — especially ol’ Jimmy Willis who drove down due to his wife’s request to see what this Mr. BlackCatTips guy was all about. It was great to meet you. Also a big thanks to Babbit Bodner and Schlotzsky’s for making this event happen.
These fine photos were taken by a nice fella named Matt Gruber with Focus Brands —— thank you sir.
see you soon,
Kyle BlackCatTips Brooks
