New Paintings (wooden cut-outs)

October 29, 2012

I made some new wooden cut-out paintings in the last week or two. I had an order to create a Willy Wheatgrass character for a local Smoothie business. Since I was in the cutting mood I sawed out a few more happy-time friends. I made some to sell at the Midway Pub /East Atlanta Farmers Halloween Market this past Thursday. That event went pretty well. I had a good time talking to folks. I even had the chance to be a judge for a pumpkin carving contest.

The rest of the new paintings I will take to sell this weekend at the Chomp and Stomp (except for the Bear Coffee Mug which sold). Until then I have a house full of bears, snakes, red-snouted men and other little creatures. Sometimes I really wish everyone could have a fun grouping of colorful faces on their wall looking back at them.

The snake (Two-Loops Latrec) has also found a new home. I will deliver him this week. I hope things go well as I am driving around Atlanta with a six-foot party snake in my truck. Wish me luck as striped-snakes can easily shift gears.

Saturday is the Chomp and Stomp Chili and Bluegrass Festival in Cabbagetown, Atlanta. We are going to have a good time. If I can stay happy while setting up my tent I think I can make it. It should be nice weather but cool. Can you bring me a hot drink?
