3 Doors (for Boys & Girls Club)

March 9, 2013

I don’t know what you have been doing. You won’t tell me. I have asked. Maybe you watched Five Easy Pieces a few times or ate spagehtti in an ironically named italian joint. I didn’t do either. I think I will be a blasted Son of a Gun. I have been painting in Cabbagetown and at home. I almost have had a nervous breakdown and considered joning a monestary in the mountains. I appreciate the female figure too much so I decided to call it off for now. I had some weird dreams and ate a salad in my truck. I made a couple new friends and let a cat smell my fingers. I also burned my hand really bad and saw a few snowflakes. What a week it was.

I have been painting 3 doors for the Boys & Girls Club 75th Anniversary. I was asked by WonderRoot to be involved in this project. I met a little while back with a couple kids and a teacher recently and took home a sack of inspiration. It was a fun visit to the Brookhaven Boys & Girls Club.

Over the last few weeks I painted these 3 doors. As of today I am finished. With the help of my beautiful assistant I took a few pictures in the afternoon sun. I really like the afternoon sun. I hope I am married and buried in the afternoon sun. I hope the afternoon sun tans my arms and warms my Spirit. God Bless my beleaguered soul. Please?

Take a look at these photos and I will do my best to let you know when the big event for the Boys & Girls Club 75th Anniversary will take place. Perhaps we could meet up before or after and have a good time. The doors will be in different locations around Atlanta so perhaps you will walk by one soon.
