Walk By The Highway

April 2, 2011

I went to my parent’s house today. My nephew was there. He is 6 years old. I brought some paint with me. I told him we were going to paint some bears along the state highway. He said, “Ok.”

My dad and nephew and I walked through the woods and over the creek. All of the leaves and plants were sprouting. I saw some wild ginger growing. I decided it would be good to cook some Chinese food with it.

When we got to the highway, I painted some bears on some coroplast sheets. We walked along the road from one pole to another. Nephew boy said he didn’t want to do the painting so I let him photograph the occasion. I trusted him with my camera. I just begged him not to drop it. He took so many photos I think I could have made a stop-motion film. I think he has a good eye for a little kid.

It was a nice day and we had a good time walking in the spring sun. I think it is good for a boy to know how to paint bears along the highway.

My nephew took all of these photos on this blog post.
