Film Crew (a lesson in StreetFolk)

May 3, 2014

Yesterday the student film crew from Portfolio Center came back for another session. This time we spent out on the road doing a few streetfolk installations. StreetFolk is a term I came up with to describe the type of art I put out on telephone poles, walls, abandonded signs, etc. Not really street art and not really folk art– a little of neither and a little of both I reckon.

I had a good time letting the film students watch me paint and climb ladders. The weather was about as great as it ever is in Atlanta. I would gladly do it again. Just remember, whatever you do don’t you dare look at the camera and please stay out of the poison ivy.

Update: See the film here.
